Compare vs Wati

Touchpoint vs Wati: the honest version.

Wati runs on the official WhatsApp Business API. That buys you delivery guarantees and broadcast capability, and it costs you per-conversation fees, template approval, a 24-hour reply window and group chats entirely.

How Wati describes itself: A WhatsApp Business API platform with a team inbox, no-code chatbot flows, broadcasts and Shopify integration, aimed at SMB commerce and support.

Choose Touchpoint if

Your conversations are inbound, and some are groups

No approval queue, no templates, no 24-hour window, no per-message billing, and group chats work. You keep the number you already use along with its history, and every teammate is included in a flat price.

Choose Wati if

You need to broadcast at scale, officially

Wati is built on the sanctioned channel, so it can send marketing and notification campaigns at volume without the ban risk that bulk sending carries on a regular number. It also has no-code chatbot flows and a mature Shopify integration. If outbound campaigns are the job, use an API platform — we do not compete for that work.

Comparison pages written by vendors are usually worthless because they only list what the vendor wins. Ours marks every row where Wati is genuinely the better product.

Questions

Touchpoint vs Wati

Is Wati cheaper or more expensive?

It depends entirely on volume, which is the honest answer. Wati charges a platform fee plus Meta per-conversation pricing, so a low-volume support desk can land near our flat $49 while a high-volume campaign sender pays far more. The predictable-cost argument is ours; the send-at-scale argument is theirs.

Why can Wati broadcast when you cannot?

Because they use the official API, where Meta sanctions bulk sending and charges for it. On a regular number, mass sending is what actually triggers bans — recipient blocks and spam reports are the signal Meta acts on. We do not build the feature rather than sell you something likely to cost you your number.

Can we use both?

Yes, and for some businesses that is the right answer: an API platform for high-volume outbound notifications, and a shared inbox on a regular number for the human conversations and group chats the API cannot reach.

The fastest way to decide is to try it.

Connect one number and see your own conversations in a shared inbox. Fourteen days, no card, and nothing to migrate if you decide Wati suits you better.

No credit card required.
