Solutions Construction & contracting
The WhatsApp inbox for construction teams.
Foremen, subcontractors, suppliers and the client all message the same number, and it is almost always one person’s phone. A shared inbox puts that traffic somewhere the project manager and the office can both work it.
Sound familiar?
What this looks like today
- 1
The job lives on one phone, and it leaves at six
Site photos, change requests and “can you have it by Thursday” all arrive on WhatsApp, on the super’s own number. When he is on another job, on vacation, or gone, the thread goes with him.
- 2
Crews coordinate in group chats
Framing, electrical and the GC in one thread is how a job actually runs — and it is exactly what the WhatsApp Business API cannot touch.
- 3
Nobody wrote the change down
“You approved the extra outlets.” Without a searchable record across the whole company, a variation dispute comes down to whoever scrolls fastest.
- 4
The office is blind until something goes wrong
A PM finds out about the delay when the client calls to complain, because the conversation never left the field.
What changes
One inbox, and a record that stays.
One number the whole office can work
The project line stops belonging to whoever is holding the phone. PM, estimator and admin see the same queue and the same history.
A thread per sub, with an owner
Assign the plumbing contractor’s chat to whoever is chasing it. Everyone else can see it has someone and leaves it alone.
Notes that stay on the job
Record the agreed rate or the field instruction as an internal note on the chat. It stays with the conversation instead of in someone’s head.
A line per project
Two jobs on two numbers land in one queue, filtered by the line a message arrived on, with replies going back out on the right one.
A day in the inbox
Thursday, 3pm on site
The client asks for two extra outlets in the kitchen. Your super photographs the wall, the PM leaves a private note with the agreed price, and a ticket holds it open until the change order is signed. Four months later, when the invoice is queried, the whole exchange is one search away.
The conversation below is illustrative — it is the real product interface, with an example thread in it.

Questions
Construction & contracting — questions
Do we have to change the number the crew already uses?
No. You connect the existing number by scanning a QR code, the same way WhatsApp Web works. Nobody in the field is told to message somewhere new.
Can the office see field chats without joining the group?
Yes — that is the point. Anyone you give access to sees the conversation and its full history in the browser, group threads included.
Most of our crew writes in Spanish. Does that matter?
Not for the inbox. Messages sync and stay searchable in whatever language they were sent, and voice notes are transcribed, Spanish included. The interface itself is English.
What about the personal chats on that phone?
Linking a number makes WhatsApp push the whole account history to the newly linked device. It stays held back from the team until whoever linked it has marked anything personal as private.
