Product History sync & export
Your history arrives — and stops being one person’s.
When you link a number, WhatsApp pushes that account’s history to the newly linked device. Your past conversations land in the inbox, searchable by the whole team, and exportable whenever you want.
Why it exists
The record should outlive the phone
Years of customer relationships sitting in one person’s WhatsApp is a risk nobody writes down. The phone is lost, the rep resigns, the number changes hands — and the record of what was agreed goes with it. None of that is recoverable after the fact.
Syncing it into a shared workspace makes the history institutional. It is searchable by everyone who should see it, it survives staff turnover, and it leaves in a format you can read if you ever leave us.
What you get
In the product today.
History arrives on connect
Chats, groups, contacts and media sync automatically. A busy account is typically done in two to four minutes.
Searchable by the whole team
Full-text search across the entire synced history, including transcribed voice notes.
Media included
Photos, documents, video and audio sync into private storage, served only to your workspace.
Export whenever you want
Chats, messages and tickets to CSV. Your operating record should not be hostage to staying subscribed.
Survives staff turnover
When someone leaves, the conversations stay with the company rather than walking out on their phone.
Nothing to migrate
You are not moving between platforms — the same number links to a different inbox.
When you would use it
Situations this is for
- A rep resigns and four years of relationships are on their phone.
- An invoice is queried and the agreement was made eight months ago.
- Your accountant, lawyer or auditor asks for the conversation record.
Questions
History sync & export — questions
How far back does history go?
WhatsApp decides what it pushes to a newly linked device and prioritises active chats. In practice teams see many months — one live account synced over 36,000 messages going back about 17 months. Very quiet or archived chats may arrive with metadata but few messages.
Does older media come through?
Recent media syncs reliably. WhatsApp expires media on its servers after roughly 30 days, so files older than that often cannot be retrieved — the message and its text remain.
What can I export?
Chats, messages, tickets and analytics, as CSV.
