Do both really work without the WhatsApp Business API?
Yes. Both link your existing number the way WhatsApp Web does — a QR scan, no Meta approval, no message templates, no 24-hour reply window, and group chats work. This is the shared trade-off of the category: it is an unofficial connection, so treat it as a team inbox for conversations customers started rather than a bulk-outreach tool.
What does Periskope genuinely do better?
Their public API and webhook coverage is more complete than ours, they ship native HubSpot, Zoho and Freshdesk connectors today, and they have an enterprise tier with 50+ seat deployments. If your buying requirement is a documented API, they are the better fit right now.
Why do you not offer bulk broadcast credits?
Because mass sending on a regular WhatsApp number is what actually gets numbers banned — recipient blocks and spam reports are the signal Meta acts on. We would rather lose that comparison row than sell you the feature most likely to cost you your number.
