Why it exists
The CRM nobody fills in
Every sales team running on WhatsApp has tried the same arrangement: the conversation happens in the chat, and afterwards somebody is supposed to go and record it somewhere else. It holds for about a fortnight. After that the CRM is a museum of last quarter’s enquiries and the real state of every deal is in a thread on somebody’s phone.
That is not a discipline problem, it is a distance problem. Anything that requires leaving the conversation to record what just happened inside it will lose to the next incoming message. So a deal here is created from the chat in one click, and every stage change is a tap in the panel the rep was already reading.
What you get
In the product today.
Created from the chat
“Track as deal” sits in the conversation details panel. The deal remembers the thread it was born in, so getting from a card on the board back to the actual conversation is one click.
Five stages, fixed
New, Quoted, Negotiating, Won, Lost. You can rename all five; you cannot invent a sixth. A stage editor is configuration standing between you and the first useful thing you would see.
Value, close date, owner
What it is worth, when you expect it to land, and whose it is. Won and Lost take an outcome note, so a lost deal records why rather than just disappearing.
A board that is a view
Drag a card between columns or tap to advance — tapping is the primary path, because dragging does not work with a thumb. Filter by owner, stage, overdue follow-up, or search.
More than one deal per customer
A trading desk runs two live enquiries with the same buyer routinely. Both sit on the conversation behind a switcher in the card header, and a stage tap only ever moves the one on screen.
Reporting on the pipeline
Open value by stage, won this month, conversion rate, and a per-agent report covering deals opened, won and lost, value won, and follow-ups completed or overdue.
When you would use it
Situations this is for
- A rep quotes three pallets in a chat and nobody else can tell whether that number is still live.
- A manager wants Monday’s open-pipeline figure without asking five people for it.
- A buyer goes quiet after a quote, and nothing anywhere records that a price was ever sent.
Questions
Deals & pipeline — questions
Is this a full CRM?
It is the part of a CRM a WhatsApp sales team actually uses: a deal on a person, with a stage, a value, a close date and an owner, and a board over the top. Deliberately absent are forecasting, quotas, territories and a workflow builder. If you need those, you need a real CRM and this sits beside it rather than replacing it.
Which plan includes deals?
Deals, the pipeline board and pipeline reporting are Pro. Follow-ups, contact notes, contact owner and company are on every plan, including Starter — those are shared-inbox hygiene rather than the money layer.
Can I rename the stages?
You can rename all five. You cannot add a sixth, because the five keys are fixed so that every board, filter and report means the same thing in every workspace.
What if we sell in more than one currency?
A deal can override the workspace currency, and we never convert between currencies — a board holding dollars and euros shows one subtotal per currency rather than a single invented total. Values are stored as whole minor units, never floating point, because these columns get summed across a whole workspace.
Does it work on email threads too?
Yes. A deal can hang off a mail thread as well as a WhatsApp chat, the same way a ticket can.
